Website, Submission & Service Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: August 21, 2026 · Last Updated: August 21, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the LGA Brick Grading Authority ("LGA," "we," "us," or "our") website, services, grading and authentication services, registry, certification services, and related products.
By accessing the LGA website, creating an account, submitting an item, purchasing a service, or checking the box indicating acceptance of these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. LGA Services
LGA provides professional authentication, grading, certification, documentation, registry services, and protective encapsulation for eligible collectible LEGO® sets and minifigures.
LGA may offer multiple service levels, including Standard, Premium, and Elite, with different pricing, turnaround targets, features, and benefits.
Service descriptions and pricing displayed at the time an order is submitted will govern that order unless otherwise stated.
2. Eligibility and Customer Responsibility
Customers must be at least 18 years old or otherwise have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement.
The customer represents that they own the submitted property or have authorization from the lawful owner to submit it to LGA.
The customer is responsible for accurately identifying submitted items and providing complete and truthful information.
3. Authentication and Grading
LGA grading represents the professional opinion of LGA based upon the condition and characteristics of an item at the time it is examined.
Grades and authentication determinations involve professional judgment. LGA does not guarantee that another grading company, collector, dealer, marketplace, auction house, or other third party will reach the same conclusion.
A grade is not a guarantee of an item's present or future monetary value.
LGA may decline to authenticate, grade, certify, or encapsulate an item when LGA determines that the item cannot reasonably be evaluated, presents authenticity concerns, has been materially altered, creates a safety concern, or otherwise falls outside LGA's services.
4. Declared Value
Customers may be required to provide a declared value for submitted items.
Declared value should represent the customer's reasonable estimate of the item's fair market value at the time of submission and may be used for service eligibility, insurance, shipping, handling, and other purposes.
LGA reserves the right to request additional information or recommend a different service level when an item's apparent value materially differs from its declared value.
5. Turnaround Times
Any turnaround times displayed by LGA are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Turnaround time may be affected by submission volume, research requirements, authentication issues, unusual items, shipping delays, force majeure events, or other circumstances outside LGA's reasonable control.
6. Encapsulation
Certain LGA services include protective acrylic encapsulation.
Encapsulation is intended to protect and preserve the collectible under normal display, storage, and handling conditions. It does not make an item indestructible, waterproof, fireproof, UV-proof, or immune from environmental deterioration.
Customers should continue to store encapsulated collectibles under appropriate environmental conditions.
7. Certification and Registry
Eligible graded items may receive an LGA certification number, certification label, QR verification, digital certificate, and/or registry listing.
Certification numbers remain part of LGA's certification system and records.
LGA may correct clerical errors, registry errors, duplicate records, inaccurate information, or fraudulent entries when discovered.
8. Photography and Documentation
Depending upon the service purchased, LGA may photograph or record submitted items during authentication, grading, encapsulation, or documentation.
Unless prohibited by applicable law or separately agreed in writing, the customer grants LGA permission to retain photographs and documentation of submitted items for certification, registry, quality-control, security, training, archival, and promotional purposes.
Personally identifying customer information will not intentionally be displayed with promotional images without permission.
9. Shipping and Risk of Loss
Customers are responsible for properly packaging submissions and following LGA's current shipping instructions.
Responsibility for loss or damage during transportation may depend upon the shipping carrier, insurance selected, declared value, and applicable shipping terms.
Customers should retain tracking information and proof of shipment.
Specific inbound and return-shipping liability and insurance provisions presented during checkout or submission are incorporated into these Terms. See the Submission, Shipping, Insurance & Handling Policy.
10. Fees and Payment
Customers agree to pay the prices, shipping charges, taxes, insurance charges, and other disclosed fees associated with their order.
LGA may require payment before beginning or completing services.
Unless otherwise stated, grading and service fees compensate LGA for services performed and are not dependent upon the grade ultimately assigned.
11. Cancellations and Refunds
An order may be cancelled before LGA begins processing it subject to LGA's then-current cancellation policy.
Once authentication, grading, photography, fabrication, encapsulation, or another substantive service has begun, some or all fees may become non-refundable.
Any applicable refund will be made according to the payment method and policies in effect for the transaction.
12. Regrading and Review
Customers may disagree with a grade. A disagreement alone does not establish that the grade is incorrect.
When available, customers may request review or regrading under LGA's applicable review procedures and fees.
LGA does not guarantee that a reviewed item's grade will increase or remain unchanged unless specifically provided by the applicable service.
13. Tampering and Alteration
LGA certification applies to an item in its LGA-certified configuration.
Removal, opening, modification, alteration, tampering with, or attempted tampering with an LGA case, seal, certification label, security feature, or associated certification information may invalidate the certification.
LGA may remove an affected certification number from active registry status or identify it as compromised when appropriate.
14. Counterfeit, Altered, or Questionable Items
LGA does not guarantee that every submitted item can be authenticated.
If LGA determines or reasonably suspects that an item is counterfeit, materially altered, misrepresented, stolen, fraudulent, or otherwise problematic, LGA may refuse service and take reasonable steps consistent with applicable law and LGA policy.
15. Intellectual Property
LGA's name, logos, certification designs, grading systems, website content, graphics, photographs created by LGA, registry design, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to LGA and may not be reproduced or commercially used without authorization.
LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group. LGA is an independent grading and authentication service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the LEGO Group unless expressly stated otherwise.
16. Prohibited Conduct
Customers may not use LGA services to commit fraud, manipulate certification information, create counterfeit LGA labels or cases, misrepresent an item's certification, interfere with LGA systems, or engage in unlawful activity.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LGA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or speculative damages, including anticipated appreciation, lost profits, lost sales opportunities, or changes in collectible market value.
Any limitation applicable to physical loss or damage of a submitted item should be governed by LGA's declared-value, shipping, and insurance provisions presented with the applicable submission.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Website Availability
LGA does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of its website, registry, QR verification system, customer portal, or other electronic services.
Maintenance, upgrades, security incidents, third-party outages, and circumstances beyond LGA's reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.
19. Privacy and Electronic Communications
Customer information will be handled according to LGA's Privacy Policy and applicable law.
By creating an account or submitting an order, customers consent to receiving transactional communications concerning submissions, payments, certifications, security, and their account.
Marketing communications will be handled according to applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.
20. Changes to These Terms
LGA may update these Terms periodically.
Changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law permits otherwise. Terms applicable to an existing paid submission will not be retroactively changed in a manner that materially reduces the purchased service without the customer's consent.
21. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or LGA's services that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma, and each party consents to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
22. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with applicable submission forms, pricing disclosures, service descriptions, Privacy Policy, shipping terms, and other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between the customer and LGA concerning the applicable services.
